Cox Preferred, Cox Premier or Cox Ultimate Internet Service users (typically more than $50 a month), or others who want to upgrade to Cox's faster service in the future, pick any of these DOCSIS 3.0 modems (Premier subscribers should pick a modem with at least 8-channel bonding downstream to maximize speed. These are the ARRIS/Motorola SB6141, SB6183, SBG6580, SBG6782, Netgear C3000, CG3000Dv2, C6300 and C3700. Ultimate subscribers should buy a modem with 16-channel bonding. All of these modems are high quality and have pretty much the same features, except of course those with routers built in. So don't worry too much about deciding which one to buy. Price should be the most important factor.Show All Modems:
DOCSIS 2.0 Cable Modems
Cox Essential or Cox Starter Internet Service users (typically less than $50 a month), buy any of these DOCSIS 2.0 modems. If you think you'll be upgrading to Cox's faster services in the future, buy a DOCSIS 3.0 modem above. We highly recommend buying a DOCSIS 3.0 modem in order to future-proof yourself as DOCSIS 2.0 modems are slowly phased out. New Cox customers need to buy a DOCSIS 3.0 modem, only existing customers can buy a DOCSIS 2.0 modem.
