Suddenlink Max 20 or higher Internet Service users (e.g. Max 50, Max 107) (typically more than $60 a month), or others who want to upgrade to Suddenlink's faster service in the future, buy any of these DOCSIS 3.0 modems:

All of these modems are high quality and have pretty much the same features, except of course those with routers built in. So don't worry too much about deciding which one to buy. Price should be the most important factor.

ARRIS / Motorola SB6141 SURFBoard DOCSIS 3.0 Cable Modem

The ARRIS / Motorola SB6141 is the updated version of their popular SB6121. It has 8-channel downstream bonding and 4-channel upstream, twice the maximum download speed of the SB6121 (though the SB6121 is fast enough for almost all current internet plans.) Supports IPv6 and IPv4 addressing. Works with Windows, Mac, or Linux computers.

ARRIS / Motorola SB6121 SURFBoard DOCSIS 3.0 Cable Modem

ARRIS / Motorola is a big name in cable modems and you can't go wrong with any of their Surfboard modems. The ARRIS / Motorola SB6121 has the exact same specs as the SB6120 and is basically the updated, newer version of it, with a slightly smaller case. The new version of this modem is the SB6141, which has twice the maximum download speed of the SB6121. Supports IPv6 and IPv4 addressing. Works with Windows, Mac, or Linux computers.

Motorola SB6120 SURFBoard eXtreme DOCSIS 3.0 Cable Modem

The SB6120 includes an Gigabit ethernet port and is the older version of the SB6121, same specs but a slightly larger case. Supports IPv6 and IPv4 addressing. Works with Windows, Mac, or Linux computers.

If you have lower than Suddenlink Max 20 Internet Service, (typically less than $60 a month), buy any of these DOCSIS 2.0 modems. If you think you'll be upgrading to Suddenlink's faster internet service in the future, buy a DOCSIS 3.0 modem at the top. We highly recommend buying a DOCSIS 3.0 modem in order to future-proof yourself as DOCSIS 2.0 modems are slowly phased out.

Motorola Surfboard SBG901 DOCSIS 2.0 Wireless Cable Modem

The Motorola SBG901 has a built-in wireless-G router and has an Ethernet port. We're not a big fan of these modem/router combos, but if you don't need the features of the latest routers, this will work just fine.
