Spectrum Approved DOCSIS 3.1 and 3.0 Cable Modems
Below are all the modems that Spectrum has approved for their customers to purchase and use on their network, as of April 2023. Spectrum lists them on their website here: Spectrum Approved Cable Modem List. Prices are updated every hour. There are over 70 different modems on that list, and we’ve gone through all of them to find the ones that can be bought at Amazon, Best Buy, or Walmart.
Spectrum doesn’t charge you for cable modems unless you want one with a built-in Wi-Fi router. Then they charge $5 a month to rent a modem with Wi-Fi. That’s $60 a year or $300 over 5 years. You can buy a new one that will pay for itself in about a year.
It’s easy to install. Just hookup the modem, open a web browser on an attached computer, and follow the on-screen instructions. Read more here at Spectrum: Activate Spectrum Modem Instructions
Spectrum Voice Customers: The modems below do not have telephone capabilities. So you’ll need to use the Spectrum-supplied modem for your phone service.
